Eurodesk couldn’t miss joining the European Youth Week once again, bringing young people together to explore youth participation, learning mobility, active citizenship and European opportunities through informal learning.
The European Youth Week took place from 24 April to 1 May 2026, celebrating youth engagement, participation and active citizenship across Europe and beyond. This year’s edition focused on Solidarity and Fairness, while also marking 30 years of EU-funded volunteering.

On 23 April, Eurodesk Brussels Link organised a special GameZone activity at their office for the Eurodesk Youth Delegation. The session offered a lively mix of fun, interactive and playful activities designed to spark curiosity about Europe, learning mobility and active citizenship.
A key highlight of the session was welcoming a special guest: Glenn Micallef, Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport. He joined the young participants, took part in the games and encouraged them to take action in democracy and active citizenship, reminding them that the future is in their hands!

On 24 April, Eurodesk continued the celebrations at the European Parliament in Brussels, where the official kick-off event of the European Youth Week brought together around 1,000 young people from across Europe and beyond. Eurodesk welcomed participants at their stand with more GameZone activities, including Adventures in Europe and the popular prize wheel.
Hundreds of young people visited the Eurodesk stand, curious to learn more about youth information, mobility programmes and opportunities available to them. Many also joined the games, tested their knowledge of Europe and took home Eurodesk goodies.
Through the GameZone, Eurodesk once again showed how youth information can be creative and accessible, making European opportunities easier to understand and closer to young people.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, played and explored Europe with us! See you at the next European Youth Week in 2028!
