A fairer, simpler Erasmus+ for young Europeans

.

On 28 January 2026, Eurodesk Director Audrey Frith presented Eurodesk’s perspective on the future Erasmus+ programme (2028–2034) to the European Parliament’s Committee on Culture and Education.

She welcomed the proposal for a budget increase and a simplified programme structure, while calling for a stronger youth chapter, with 15% of funding dedicated to youth. Audrey Frith also emphasised the crucial role of youth information networks, such as Eurodesk, which help ensure that no young person is left behind.

In her intervention, she emphasised that youth opportunities must be accessible, visible, and easy to apply for through the European Youth Portal, creating a fair and inclusive entry point to mobility across Europe.
